How To Treat Varicose Veins Naturally

Varicose veins are enlarged, swollen, and twisting veins, often appearing blue or dark purple on the legs and feet. They happen when faulty valves in the veins allow blood to flow in the wrong direction or to pool. Pregnant women are more susceptible to varicose veins.

Symptoms can include aching legs, swollen ankles, painful legs, legs feel heavy, leg cramping and spider veins. People who are overweight have an increased risk of varicose veins. In severe cases, a varicose vein may rupture, or develop into varicose ulcers on the skin. These will require treatment.

Varicose veins can be naturally cured with the help of tomatoes. Tomatoes have healing properties. In addition to the acid, the tomatoes have flavonoids that helps to strengthen the walls of the blood vessels. Tomatoes contain salicylic acid which has properties that are similar to aspirin and work as an anticoagulant, for preventing blood clots and improving blood flow.

In addition, tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which concentrates in our cell membranes and prevents damage to the lipids in our cells. If applied to the skin topically, it reduces the appearance of the damaged veins and it influences the thickness, strength, and fluidity of our membranes, allowing nutrients to be absorbed and preventing toxins from entering. They can help prevent the blood from thickening and reduce the pressure on the affected blood vessels.

Using Tomatoes to Treat Varicose Veins

  • Start by washing 2-3 tomatoes.
  • Cut the tomatoes into smaller rings/slices.
  • Then place the rings/slices onto the veins.
  • The rings/slices can be held in place by using bandage or a cloth.
  • Wait for a tingling sensation.
  • Remove the tomatoes and wash the veins with cold water.
  • Repeat this 4-5 times a day.

You will start to notice the results after 2 weeks and the veins will begin to fade. This will also lead to a depreciation of swelling, discomfort, and pain. As time goes on, the varicose veins will disappear entirely.
