Best Effective Home Remedy for Joint Pain (Best Natural Anti Inflammatory)

Joint pain can make your life a living hell that you reach for over-the-counter pain killers whenever your joints ache. Pain medication drugs come with a number of side effects. For instance, a high amount of Tylenol, which contains an active agent called acetaminophen, can lead to liver failure. Whereas aspirin risks are mainly related to bleeding disorders. Ibuprofen, which is generally considered safe, could damage your digestive system if consumed in excess. If you constantly have chronic pain, the effect of painkillers may decrease over time, which means that you have to take more and more just to get on with your day.

So why not go for a safer, non-toxic alternative, homemade painkiller?

There are many natural remedies that can treat joint pain and stiffness, often associated with arthritis and aging. While the more acute conditions need to be promptly shown to the doctor, joint pain caused by a sprain or mild arthritis can be relieved with helpful home remedies. A diet high in fruits, vegetables, and plenty of water goes a long way toward naturally reducing inflammation.

To take the benefits of natural anti-inflammatory substances, there is a good recipe that remarkably reduces the pain when rubbed directly onto the joint. Instead of popping those pain killers, try this home remedy for your aching joints. Natural remedies like sea salt and olive oil treatment are very effective for quick relief from joint pain.

Olive oil contains omega-3, which works as an anti-inflammatory and helps reduce swelling and pain in arthritic joints. It is known to be naturally extracted and not chemically manufactured, thus having healing properties. Plus, it is loaded with a group of antioxidants called polyphenols, which can slow down the aging process of your cells. Olive oil also contains oleocanthal, a natural compound which works in a similar way to NSAIDs (non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs), by reducing the effect of enzymes that cause inflammation.

Sea salt contains a good amount of magnesium, potassium, calcium, copper, and zinc. The magnesium sulfate in sea salt is absorbed through the skin and helps reduce inflammation. Beyond reducing inflammation, magnesium is involved in hundreds of bodily processes, notably muscle contraction, energy levels, and brain function.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200 ml) water
  • 20 tablespoons (300 ml) of olive oil
  • 10 tablespoons (150 ml) of sea salt
  • a spray bottle

Instruction:

  • Begin by adding 300 ml of olive oil and 150 ml of sea salt to the water.
  • Stir the ingredients until the salt has dissolved fully, and then store this oil in a spray bottle.
  • Shake the bottle before using it.
  • Spray little oil on the inflamed area, and then massage the oil for few minutes.
  • Start with just a minute or two upon your first application, but gradually work up to 15 minutes of massage per day.

For even better results, you can prepare your skin to receive the oil by applying a warm wet compress for 10 minutes prior to the massage. This opens up pores and relaxes the muscles around your joints, which may be clenched due to pain. The heat is also great for easing stiff joints.

Try it out, and let us know how well you respond to nature’s anti-inflammatory.
